It give a great joy to write this short article to announce the names of successful students of Chalti Dojo of EGKA  who took part in spring grading in early April. All students have been working hard since we commenced training after our annual Christmas break. Regular and consistent training finally paid off when the results were announced. As I have said many times before there is no secret; the secret is in the regular and systematic training; and I am happy to see that most students have finally realised that and are training regularly. Grades need to be earned by training and hard work. Student has to make the sacrifice of turning up for training regardless of the prevailing weather conditions or what is on TV. I know people have other commitments such as family or business and I do respect that, as Chojun Miyagi Sensei said, “A karateka’s priority should be 1) Family 2) Business and 3) Karate”

The students should enjoy the beautiful journey along the path rather than the destiny itself. If you stay on the path of Goju Ryu and train, the next coloured belt is around the corner.

Well done to all who were successful at the grading and were promoted to next grade.

Once again, I extend a big thanks to all my senior students who regularly help at the club; and special thanks go to Salih Erengil who goes that extra mile to help with grading.
